Railroad removal impacts Cedar Rapids traffic for 2 weeks

Posted: Updated:
CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) - Some drivers in Cedar Rapids may notice a longer commute for the next two weeks.

Beginning at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Council Street NE between Blairs Ferry Road NE and Collins Road NE will be reduced to one lane in each direction for roughly two weeks due to railroad track removal.

The Cedar Rapids Public Works Department says drivers should expect delays, and are encouraged to use an alternate route.
