Braley to tour flooding damage in Marengo

Posted: Updated:
MARENGO (KWWL) - Bruce Braley today will tour flooding damage and assess the levee along the Iowa River with Iowa County Emergency Manager Josh Humphrey and Iowa County Sheriff Robert Rotter.

Braley will be at Marengo City Hall, 153 E. Main St., Marengo on July 8th, at 9:10 a.m.

Iowa County was recently granted a state disaster declaration.

The Iowa River is at major flood stage at Marengo, and the levee that protects the community is up to a record flood stage.

Monday Braley toured more storm damage in Eastern Iowa and visited Traer to view tornado damage following the EF2 tornado which touched town last week. At least one home was destroyed.
