Volunteers fill Johnson County sandbag need

Posted: Updated:
JOHNSON COUNTY (KWWL) -

Despite ongoing flooding, Johnson County reports having enough prepared sandbags.

The City of Iowa City says the sandbag site closed at noon of the 4th of July and will not re-open unless the weather forecast changes.

A number of volunteers spent Independence Day morning filling sandbags, meeting the need.

This came just one day after officials asked for more volunteers
