Prime Time League Basketball comes to the Cedar Valley

Prime Time League Basketball comes to the Cedar Valley

Posted: Updated:

The Prime Time League is in its 28th season of giving some of the best college basketball players in the state east of Ames a place to play summer ball. For the first time ever the Iowa City/North Liberty-based league is playing six games in Waterloo at the brand new Cedar Valley Sportsplex.

A couple of years ago, players from UNI quit the league, so in a compromise to address the imbalance Panther players faced traveling to North Liberty every week, PTL officials agreed to hold some of the games in Waterloo.

It's the best of both worlds as Hawkeye fans in the Cedar Valley get a chance to see Iowa stars up close and personal.

And of course, the league gives the players a chance to work on their games against good competition. The Prime Time League will hold three games on July 10 as well.
