DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

This week we celebrate our freedom, and it's important for us to honor the men and women in our military who protect our freedom. The 29th annual Fireworks and Air Show Spectacular took place in Dubuque's AY McDonald park Thursday evening. The event included the United States Army Golden Knights Parachute team and the Aerostars Flight Team.

Sharon Trenholm is an Air Force Veteran. During this years Air Show, Trenholm was present with a baton, which was passed around by the United States Army Golden Knights Parachute team in air, to celebrate her service and commitment to other local veterans.

"I'm just speechless, I'm beyond appreciative," Trenholm said.

Trenholm said the Fireworks and Air Show Spectacular was a great way to celebrate freedom.

"Every bit of it is just awesome," Trenholm said.
