IOWA CITY (KWWL) -

Independence Day fireworks in Iowa City will not be affected by flooding, city officials say.

The annual display will be Saturday, July 5 around 9:30 p.m. at Hubbard Park on Madison St.

Viewers can set up on the West lawn of the University of Iowa Pentacrest for the best view. Fireworks will also be visible from Downtown.

City officials remind attendees to avoid all flood-affected areas for their own safety.
