Strong storms causes damage, flash flooding

TRAER (KWWL) -

Strong storms blew through parts of eastern iowa Saturday evening, causing some damage.

In Traer, strong winds blew down trees and caused roof damage to at least one home.

The storms were never classified as severe.

The southern part of Traer was hit especially hard - with parts of a sheet metal roof blown around..

Many tree limbs were knocked down during the storm too.

There were also reports of street flooding in Black Hawk County.

Streets near Young Arena in downtown Waterloo had to be blocked off until the flash flooding receded.

Scattered power outages were reported in many communities during the storm.

There are no reports of any injuries.
