Rural runners raise funds to fight breast cancer

VINTON (KWWL) -

Vinton will celebrate breast cancer survivors Friday night at Riverside Park with the 2nd Annual Party-in-Pink 5k walk and run.

Over 500 participants are expected to attend the event, hosted by Benton County Breast Cancer Survivors. Last year's Party-in-Pink raised more than $8000 for free women's health services.

The event will begin at 5:30 on June 27 with a kids run. The main walk/run begins at 6.

Registration is Thursday, June 26 at “Monkeytown” in Vinton 5-7 p.m. and at Riverside Park from 4-5:30 Friday.
