CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) - Cedar Rapids Police are asking for help finding a suspect they say robbed a Guaranty Bank branch at gunpoint.

Police say they responded to a call around 10:10 a.m. Wednesday to the Guaranty Bank, located at 191 Jacolyn Drive NW in Cedar Rapids, to an armed robbery.

The suspect is described as a white male wearing a white shirt, dark pants and tennis shoes, according to police and bank surveillance photos. In the photos, the suspect is pointing a gun at the teller.

"I don't see nothing but a guy with a white mask on, did he get away with money," said Geraldine Partee who lives near the bank.

Police say the suspect demanded cash and left the bank on foot. No injuries were reported.

"It worries me, it does, I live on the first floor," said Partee. "Seems like i heard it a couple of weeks ago a bank was robbed."

The last time this Guaranty Bank branch was robbed was in September of 2012. Police arrested three men for that crime days later.

Another Guaranty Bank branch was robbed back in may at the Bever Avenue location.

It was robbed twice within just two weeks.

This robbery is the sixth for cedar rapids banks since late April.

Anyone with information about the robbery or who may have seen the suspect is asked to call the Cedar Rapids Police Department at 319-286-5491 or Linn County Crime Stoppers at 800-272-7463.

Tipsters may also text the Crime Stoppers anonymously by texting 5227 and the tip to 274-637.
