Groundbreaking ceremony set for Retrieving Freedom facility

Posted: Updated:

The nonprofit group Retrieving Freedom is set to break ground on a new facility Saturday.

The goal of the group is to train and place service dogs with children with autism and veterans to help those military men and women transition to a normal life after deployment.

The groundbreaking ceremony will be done in conjunction with the poker run. That event leaves from Ansborough Hy-Vee at 11:00.

Public is welcome to attend the ceremony in Waverly, located two miles west of town on highway three.
