Memorial planned for Quasqueton race car driver

Posted: Updated:
QUASQUETON (KWWL) - A fundraiser has been organized for the family of Brandon Smith, the race car driver who was killed in a crash at an automobile shop earlier this month.

Smith, 25, was killed while working on a car in his auto shop in Quasqueton.

Now family and friends are hosting a memorial for Smith's fiancee Stephanie King, his son Carver, as well as a baby the couple has on the way.

The benefit will be held five months from now, Nov. 22, at Wolfy's in Quasqueton at 5 p.m.

Proceeds from a free-will donation, silent auction and live auction will go directly to Smith's family.

More information can be found on the fundraiser's Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Brandon-Smith-Memorial-Benefit/1437677593161967
