Police find suspected meth lab in search for missing man

Marion Police searched a suspected meth lab near Swisher on Tuesday as part of a search for a missing man.

It happened at a home in the 1500 block of 120 Street SW. Charges are now pending related to the investigation.

Officers from the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, Linn County Sheriff, Iowa State Patrol Tactical Team and Johnson County Drug Task Force assisted.

Police opened the methamphetamine production investigation while searching for James Booher, who has been missing since May 31. He was last seen in Cedar Rapids. His car was found abandoned in Cedar Rapids on June 9.

Anyone with information concerning his whereabouts is asked to call Marion Police at 319-200-7713 or the Linn County Sheriff's Office at 800-CS-CRIME.
