Olympic Champion Gabby Douglas will compete in August

Defending Olympic all-around champion Gabby Douglas is ready to get back in front of the judges.

Douglas told The Associated Press on Monday she is hoping to compete in all four events at the 2014 USA Gymnastics national championships in Pittsburgh in August. The 18-year-old Douglas hasn't participated in an official meet since winning a pair of gold medals in London nearly two years ago.

Douglas reunited with coach Liang Chow in Iowa in April. She says something "clicked" inside her over the winter and she feels now is the best time to start training for a shot at making the 2016 U.S. Olympic team.

Douglas was in Pittsburgh on Monday and helped set a world record by leading more than 700 gymnasts in the world's largest simultaneous cartwheel.
