BUCHANAN COUNTY (KWWL) -
One person is in the hospital after his vehicle went off the road in Buchanan County. It happened around 12:10 a.m. in the 2500 block of 290th Street, near Quasqueton.
According to the Buchanan County Sheriff's Office, 19-year-old Colton Stoddard of Rowley failed to stop a stop sign, crossed the intersection and entered the ditch. The vehicle continued eastbound in the ditch for approximately 100-150 yards before striking a driveway embankment and flipping over onto its roof.
Stoddard was removed from the vehicle by members of the Quasqueton Fire Department and was then airlifted from the scene to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City with injuries.
