Red hot Waterloo Bucks win 8th straight

Posted: Updated:
WATERLOO (KWWL) - Pat MacKenzie drove in the winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning as the Waterloo Bucks defeated Duluth 2-1 on Saturday night. The win was the 8th straight for the franchise and moved the Bucks in to sole possession of 2nd place in the division standings. They sit just a game and a half behind first place Willmar.

Waterloo got great pitching from Landon Simpson to make up for a lackluster offensive night. Simpson went 8 innings, striking out 6, while allowing just 3 hits. Brent Jurceka pitched 2 scoreless innings in relief to pick up the win.

The Bucks host Saint Cloud at 3 pm on Sunday, as they look to add to their season high winning streak.
