PARKERSBURG (KWWL) - If you build it they will come...

Borrowing a line from Dyersville and Field of Dreams Diamonds and Fields is looking to build an all-inclusive sports complex in Parkersburg for everyone--including people with disabilities!

Diamonds and Fields founder and former UNIX football star Matt Waller has an older brother who was paralyzed in a car accident 26 years ago--Waller knows first hand the need for all-inclusive sports facilities. Midwest One Bank is giving Diamonds and Fields a $50-thousand dollar grant to help with $1.4 million sports complex--which will feature soccer fields, softball and baseball diamonds and a miracle league field which will allow disabled athletes the opportunity to compete. So far nearly 400-thousand has been raised.
And it's getting great support---from community leaders like new Aplington-Parkersburg principal and current boys basketball coach Aaron Thomas.
