TIPTON (KWWL) -

The state's longest running film festival will be celebrating its 17th year at a different location. The Hardacre Film Festival will take place this year, not at the Hardacre Theater, but at the newly renovated Tipton High School auditorium.

The one-day event on Saturday, Aug. 2 will feature short and feature-length films submitted throughout the world.

The list of films that will be featured at the 2014 festival will be released in July.

Tickets for the festival are $20, and allow for viewing of film showings from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m., and a catered dinner for those in attendance will follow. The festival will be underway during Tipton's Ridiculous Day sidewalk sale event.

The Hardacre Theater, original home to the festival, is undergoing renovations that won't be finished by the time the festival rolls around.

The Hardacre Theater will reopen in time for the theater's 100th anniversary in April 2016.
