ALBURNETT (KWWL) -

Two teens were hurt Tuesday after the car they were in crashed into a ditch.

Sergeant S.A. Humphrey says deputies were called to North Alburnett Road, just south of Justin's Road, after a vehicle driven by a 16-year-old Courtney Clemens of Alburnett ended up in a ditch.

Humphrey says Clemens lost control of the vehicle and crossed the center line before going into the ditch.

Clemens and 17-year-old Megan L. Overly, also of Alburnett, were injured and taken to St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. They are expected to recover.

Another passenger, 15-year-old Tanner G. Hoyer, also of Alburnett, was not injured.

Clemens was ticketed for failure to maintain control.

The accident remains under investigation.
