A Central City man was injured Tuesday after his riding lawn mower rolled into a ditch.

Deputies from the Linn County Sheriff's Office were called to the 5200 block of North Alburnett Road at around 5:43 p.m. Tuesday.

Crews arrived to find 54-year-old Barry Woodson of Central City had been mowing by the edge of the road when the mower rolled into the ditch.

He had been freed by a passerby before deputies arrived.

He was taken to St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids and is expected to recover.
