Bosnian Cultural Festival to be Saturday at Grout Museum

The Grout Museum of History and Science will be holding a Bosnian Cultural Festival on Saturday.

The event goes from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Waterloo museum.

The festival will be a day learning and experiencing Bosnian culture. Participants can try samples of traditional dishes as well as check out a cooking demonstration.

The traditional Bosnian troupe, K.U.D. Kolo, will perform. Traditional dress will be on display and visitors can view a screening of the documentary, "A Home in the Heartland."

The timeline for the days events is as follows:

9:30-10 a.m., exhibit documentary showing

10-11 a.m., "A Home in the Heartland" showing

11 a.m. - 1 p.m., food samples available

11-11:30 a.m. - poetry reading by Sujleman Djokovics' daughter

11:30 a.m.- noon, food making demonstration

noon-1 p.m. - "A Home in the Heartland" showing

1-1:30 p.m. - Bosnian dance troupe

1:30-2 p.m. - exhibit documentary showing

2-3 p.m., "A Home in the Heartland" showing

The festival is included with regular admission to the Grout.
