Jule joins 'Ride Transit Week'

Posted: Updated:
DUBUQUE (KWWL) - The Jule in Dubuque is joining the Iowa Public Transit Association, Iowa Department of Transportation and public transit systems across Iowa in proclaiming June 15-21 as "Ride Transit Week."

The week is meant to encourage people to discover new alternative routes for their commute while saying money, time and fuel.

Passengers are encouraged to introduce a friend or co-worker to public transit on Fri, June 20. Each paying passenger can bring a guest who will ride free that day.

A limited number of T-shirts, bus pass holders and sunglasses will be distributed at the 6th & Iowa, JFK Circle and Delhi transfer points.

The Jule’s Summer Trolley makes many stops near downtown businesses before continuing to major tourist destinations and city parks. Each loop is one hour.

Open food containers are not allowed on The Jule, so passengers are asked to eat lunch before or after their trip. For pickup and drop-off times, visit www.cityofdubuque.org/summertrolley.

For complete route details, passenger fares and other information, visit www.juletransit.org, call 563-589-4196 or stop by The Jule Office at 2401 Central Ave.
