WATERLOO (KWWL) - The Waterloo Police Department's VCAT unit made a second arrest in connecting to a weapons investigation on Logan Avenue June 10.

Donquavious Marcellus Davis, 26, of Waterloo, was arrested Wednesday and charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm, as well as carrying weapons in relation to the June 10 incident.

On that date, officers encountered a group of people in the 700 block of Logan Ave.

Officers initially arrested Juwon Culpepper, who was in possession of a handgun. Read that story here: http://www.kwwl.com/story/25752124/2014/06/11/waterloo-man-arrested-for-weapon-charges-after-tuesday-chase

Police say Davis ran into the Logan Avenue Convenience Store and hid a gun when officers came to arrest Culpepper early Wednesday morning.

Officers found a loaded .45-caliber semi-automatic handgun in a closed-off bathroom of the store. They say security video shows Davis putting it there.

Both Davis and Culpepper are in the Black Hawk County Jail on weapons charges.
