BURLINGTON (KWWL) - The Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission decided to grant Wild Rose Entertainment a gaming license to build a new casino in Jefferson.

The IRGC voted 3-2, approving the license Thursday morning in Burlington.

The plan for the $40 million casino includes a hotel, events center and roughly 325 jobs. According to analysts hired by the commission, the casino would generate about $30 million annually.

Construction on the project could potentially begin as early as this summer.
