WALKER (KWWL) - A Rowley woman was injured Thursday night when she lost control of her motorcycle and crashed into a parked vehicle.

Deputies from the Linn County Sheriff's Office were called to 212 Greene Street in Walker at around 8:51 p.m. Thursday for a report of a motorcycle accident.

Sergeant S.A. Humphrey says 53-year-old Sandra Elson was injured when her motorcycle fell on top of her.

No one was in the vehicle.

Elson was taken to St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids with what Humphrey calls "non-life threatening" injuries.

Elson is charged with failure to maintain control and no proof of insurance.

The accident remains under investigation.
