Four juveniles arrested following March attempted robbery case

EVANSDALE (KWWL) - The Evansdale Police Department has taken into custody four Waterloo juveniles following an investigation into an attempted robbery at a convenience store.

Three 17-year-olds and a 16-year-old, all of Waterloo, were taken to the Black Hawk County Jail in Waterloo.

They are:

Jose Alvaro Nunez-Cardono, 17, of 206 Lane St.;
Nathan John Stangeland, 17, of 2119 Regal Ave.;
Kenyon James Brandt, 17, of 308 Irving St.; and
Iziek Thomas Brandt, 16, also of 308 Irving St.

They were each charged as adults for second-degree robbery of the Pronto Mart at 3452 Lafayette Rd. in Evansdale.

The incident occurred March 3 at 8:34 p.m., according to police. The juveniles are accused of entering the Pronto Mart, displaying a weapon and demanding money.

They fled the scene before stealing anything of value. No one was injured.
