DES MOINES (KWWL) -

The Iowa Department of Transportation is now offering a Boy Scouts of America "Prepared For Life" license plate.

The Iowa Secretary of State's office will be the sponsoring agency for the new license plate, according to the press release.

The application to request a Boy Scouts of America license plate is available at all Boy Scout Council offices and websites in the state.

At least 500 paid applications are required to be submitted prior to the manufacture and distribution of the new plates.

All proceeds from the extra fees will benefit the Iowa Boy Scouts.
