1 injured in 2-car University Avenue crash in Waterloo

WATERLOO (KWWL) - A two-car crash at a University Avenue intersection in Waterloo sent one person to the hospital Tuesday afternoon.

Waterloo Police and Waterloo Fire were called to the intersection of University and Ansborough avenues Tuesday at around 12:48 p.m. for a car crash.

According to police, the driver of a 2013 Honda was eastbound on University and didn't stop for a red light, colliding with a 2004 Pontiac.

The driver of the Honda, an unnamed male, was taken to Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo with unspecified injuries, according to police.

The driver of the Pontiac was uninjured.

Waterloo Police are still investigating the crash.
