UPDATE: City of Tiffin cancels boil order Thursday

Tiffin residents can go back to drinking the water straight from the tap, according to city officials Thursday afternoon.

City administrator Michon Jackson canceled the city-wide boil order just after noon Thursday, noting that residents can feel free to go back to drinking and using their tap water normally.

The boil order had originally been scheduled to end Friday.

The City of Tiffin will be under a three-day boil order after a defective part in the water tower is replaced.

City Administrator Michon Jackson says Tiffin will be under a boil order from Wednesday through Friday while the city replaces a defective mixer in the new water tower.

Jackson says residents should be sure not to drink the water without boiling it first.
