Iowa Baseball falls to top seeded Indiana at the Big Ten Tournament

OMAHA (KWWL) - The Iowa Hawkeye Baseball team held on for four innings against nationally ranked and top seeded Indiana before falling 5-2 in the first round of the Big Ten tournament. 

Iowa took the lead in the first inning after lead off hitter Eric Toole got on base with an infield single and later stole two bases on a throwing error by Big Ten Pitcher of the Year, Joey Denato. 

Toole scored from third on a Jake Mangler ground out to make it 1-0 Hawks. 

The game was tied at 2 in the bottom of the fourth when Casey Rodrigue smashed an RBI triple off Iowa Starter Sasha Keubel to right centerfield to give the Hoosiers the lead for good.

Iowa will now face Minnesota on Thursday at 1 p.m.  Indiana goes on to face Michigan at 9 p.m. Thursday.
