Tina Meier gives anti-bullying talk in Sumner Wednesday

SUMNER (KWWL) - Sumner residents will have an opportunity to hear from a mother who lost her child to cyberbullying Wednesday.

Tina Meier founded the Megan Meier Foundation in memory of her 13 year-old daughter, Megan, who committed suicide in 2006 after being cyberbullied on MySpace.

The mission of the Megan Meier Foundation is to bring awareness, education and positive change to children, parents and educators in the wake of bullying and cyberbullying tragedies.

Meier will speak at the Sumner Fredericksburg High School auditorium at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Admission is free and the event is open to the public.
