Doggie graduation draws crowd

WAVERLY (KWWL) -

Some dogs in Waverly fetched their degrees Monday night.

They graduated from Retrieving Freedom, Inc., which trains service dogs to work with veterans with physical disabilities and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, in addition to kids with autism.

"Bottom line, what these dogs do is something no other living being can do," said Scott Dewey, founder. "They can spend 24 hours a day with you, they never judge you, and they continue to give you unconditional love."

Three dogs joined their new families, after two years of training with Wartburg students and local 2nd graders.
