DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

Dubuque police and fire officials removed from a Dubuque home Sunday what may have been an explosive device.

Dubuque police spokesperson Lt. Scott Baxter confirmed officials responded around 4:30 p.m. Sunday to 2044 Jackson Street for a report of a suspicious item. The 62-year-old man who lives there, Michael Sutsko, called in the report, Baxter confirmed.

The item was a pop bottle filled with an unknown liquid. The bottle had firecrackers attached to it.

Officials processed and disposed of the device, Baxter said, and no arrests have been made.
