Black Hawks Prepare for Game 3 of Clark Cup Finals

Posted: Updated:

The Waterloo Black Hawks arrived in Indianapolis on Thursday morning after spending Wednesday night in Champaign, Illinois.

That's a little different time-line than normal for this team. Waterloo is 0-1 in Pan-Am Arena this season. Their previous trip they showed up the night before.

But head coach P.K. O'Handley wanted his team to get a full practice in on this ice sheet.

They got that done Thursday, and the players believe that's going to make them more comfortable when the puck drops on game 3 tomorrow night -

Cal Petersen said, "Good. I think the guys are in a good place, had a good skate on the ice, and I think it gives us a little bit of an advantage being able to get a full practice the day before the game and last time we didn't get that chance. I think it got the guys used to the ice a little bit, used to the atmosphere, so we're in a good spot."

Brandon Montour said, "It was good to get this practice under our belt. The last time we were there we just came in for warm-up. This practice is definitely going to help us get used to the ice sheet cause it's a whole different level from what we're used to playing."

Clark Cup Championship game three begins at 7 p.m. eastern time.
