Cyclists participate in Bike to Work Week

Posted: Updated:
IOWA CITY (KWWL) -

It's National Bike to Work Week and that’s exactly what dozens of eastern Iowa cyclists did.

They rode their bikes from the New Pioneer Food Co-op in downtown Iowa City to the one in Coralville.

They cycled more than three miles with more than 200 people watching.

"Well, I always like Bike to Work Week and I always try to participate in events and this is the first time my schedule worked out to ride in this ride," said avid cyclist Boyd Knosp.

Knosp says he rides his bike to work everyday, except when it snows.

He bikes anywhere from 3 to 11 miles a day.

These cyclists enjoyed food, drinks and live music at the New Pioneer Co-op in Coralville
