Branstad to stop in Palo, Winthrop, Manchester on Wednesday

Gov. Terry Branstad has three stops scheduled in eastern Iowa on Wednesday, beginning with a stop at the Duane Arnold Energy Center in Palo.

Officials with the nuclear plant will highlight results from a study that measured the station's value to the economy, at the event which begins around noon.

Wednesday afternoon, the governor heads to Winthrop for a 2 p.m. event at Wieland & Sons Lumber Company.

Branstad ends his day in Manchester, with a 3:45 p.m. stop planned at XL Specialized Trailers.
