PepperJax Grill, known for Phillies, opens in Cedar Falls

CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) - PepperJax Grill, known for "America's Best Philly," will open to the public at 11 a.m. Wednesday at 6719 University Ave. in Cedar Falls.
 
PepperJax Grill is a fast casual restaurant, according to their release. The company says they offer "fresh-to-order Famous Phillies, Gourmet Rice Bowls, Giant Burritos, Loaded Nachos, and Fresh Salads."

"We're very excited about opening our first PepperJax Grill in the Cedar Valley area," said Gary Rower, President of PepperJax Grill. "This new location in Cedar Falls represents our new partnership with Restaurants, Inc. and is a huge part of our expansion plans in Iowa, South Dakota, Kansas, North Dakota and Missouri."
 
The new PepperJax Grill in Cedar Falls is owned and operated by Restaurants, Inc., which also owns and operates all of the Hu Hot Mongolian Grill restaurants in Iowa along with other PepperJax Grill restaurants in Iowa and South Dakota.

Michael O'Connor will be the general manager for the new Cedar Falls location.
 
The chain is based in Omaha, Nebraska, and operates eight restaurants in the Omaha/Council Bluffs area. PepperJax Grill also operates restaurants in Clive; Ankeny; Davenport; Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Lincoln, Nebraska; Lee's Summit, Missouri; St. Joseph, Missouri; Lawrence, Kansas; and Overland Park, Kansas.  
 
Other PepperJax Grill locations are also planned to open throughout Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri and North Dakota in the near future.

    Goodwill Industries of Northeast Iowa plans to close its store in the Crossroads Center area, and build a new one.For the last 5-6 years Goodwill has been working towards getting away from leased facilities and towards owning their own facilities.
