UPDATE: City of Dubuque phones back in service

Posted: Updated:
DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

Phone services at the City of Dubuque have been restored Tuesday evening, according to a press release just after 6 p.m. from the city Tuesday.

That means residents and others are once again able to call the city, and city workers can now receive and make calls again.

Windstream Communications, the city's phone vendor, reported a fiber optics and related switch issue caused the outage, according to the city.
