Police searching for escaped Coralville inmate

CORALVILLE (KWWL) - Police are searching for a man who didn't return to a facility after work release.

Anthony David Kendricks, 25, was scheduled to return to the Hope House Work Release Facility in Coralville on Saturday. When he failed to return, he was placed on escape status, according to officials.

Kendricks is an African-American male with black hair and brown eyes. He is 5-foot-7 and weighs 174 pounds. He has tattoos on his upper right arm, chest, left forearm, right forearm and neck.

Kendricks had been serving a five-year sentence for intimidation with a dangerous weapon and began his sentence on Aug. 8, 2013. He was transferred to work release March 13.

Anyone with information on Kendricks' whereabouts should contact the Coralville Police Department or the Johnson County Sheriff's Department.
