Tama man accused of stabbing woman Sunday

TAMA (KWWL) - A Tama man has been arrested and accused by police of stabbing a woman Sunday morning.

Tama police officers were called to 219 South State Street at around 6:12 a.m. Sunday for a report of a stabbing.

Sgt. Jason Bina says they found an injured woman and a man armed with a knife.

The man, 39-year-old Eduardo Pesina, was arrested. He is charged with attempted murder, stalking, intimidation with a dangerous weapon, carrying weapons, third-degree harassment and public intoxication.

He was taken to the Tama County Jail where he was being held on a $50,000 cash-only bond.
