Grout Museum offers free admission to military this summer

WATERLOO (KWWL) -

Active duty military and their family members will get free admission this summer to the Grout Museum District thanks to a new partnership.

The Blue Star Museums is a partnership with National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, and more than 2,000 museums across America including the Grout Museum District.

The free admission period starts Memorial Day and runs through Labor Day of 2014.

To participate, active-duty members need to show a military ID. The free admission covers up to five family members.

Active duty military include Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, and active duty National Guard and active duty Reserve members.
