University of Iowa launches new tool to prevent employee identity theft

Posted: Updated:
IOWA CITY (KWWL) - The University of Iowa has launched a new tool to help protect its employees from identity theft. It's a two-step phone verification tool.

The new service is called Duo and, once employees are enrolled, it will allow them to access the UI Employee Self-Service website both on and off campus.

There's also an app called Duo Mobile that employees can use.

This comes after several phishing scams hit the University of Iowa campus.

For more information about the new service, click here.
