CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -
Graduates from the University of Northern Iowa (UNI) took the stage of the McLeod Center to receive their diplomas.
Two commencement ceremonies took place on Saturday.
Graduates from the College of Education and Business Administration got their degrees during Saturday's 10:00 a.m. ceremony, while graduates in Humanities, Arts and Sciences and Social and Behavioral Services walked the stage during the 2:00 p.m. ceremony.
"It's definitely bittersweet," said Chris Bowden, a native of Cedar Falls.
Bowden graduated with a degree in Communications on Saturday.
"I'm really excited to see what the next step is and where I'm going. I've really made a home here which has been awesome," said Bowden who also revealed during commencement he was the UNI mascot during the school year.
