Postal workers help "Stamp Out Hunger"

Posted: Updated:

On Saturday, letter carriers across the United States aim to "Stamp Out Hunger" through a letter carriers food drive. It's an event called "Stamp Out Hunger." which takes place the second Saturday in May. During the food drive, letter carriers in more than 10,000 cities and towns across America collect donated canned good items and cash from their postal customers.

Dan Dupont is a postal worker in Dubuque County. He said he enjoys collecting the donations every year.

"It makes you feel good," Dupont went on to say, "I've been here for 20 years and I've done it every year since I've been here."

This is the 22nd year for the national event, which is the largest one-day food drive in the nation.
