Posted: Updated:
A sixth-inning home run by Troy Kuhn broke a two-all tie and sent Ohio State to a 3-2 victory over the University of Iowa baseball team on Monday night at Bill Davis Stadium. The win gives the Buckeyes the series victory 3-2.
After Iowa scored a pair of runs in the top half of the fifth to tie the game at two, Ohio State quickly regained the advantage when Kuhn strolled to the plate to lead off the bottom of the inning. The third baseman belted an 0-1 pitch against UI sophomore Jared Mandel over the left field fence to give the Buckeyes a 3-2 lead.
Iowa falls to 8-10 in the Big Ten and 26-17 overall.
