Waterloo Black Hawks preparing for Clark Cup finals against Ice

WATERLOO (KWWL) -

After beating a determined Sioux City Musketeer team 5-1 Sunday night, the Waterloo Black Hawks won the second round series three games to one and advanced to their second Clark Cup final in three years.

This sets up a match-up between the Black Hawks and the Indiana Ice -- two teams with the best records in the USHL regular season, who are meeting for the league championship.

The Black Hawks have been strong during the postseason, winning six of seven games. Their only loss came Friday in overtime at Sioux City. Waterloo bounced back in dominant fashion in its win Sunday.

Now the Black Hawks advance to their fifth Clark Cup finals in the last eleven seasons as they look to win their first title since 2004.

The first game of the Clark Cup finals is Friday at 7:05 at Young Arena in Waterloo.
