IOWA CITY (KWWL) -

Iowa City Police are investigating an armed robbery involving a taxi that occurred early Monday morning.

According to police, a cab driver drove his cab to the 1900 block of F Street just before 2:45 a.m. on Monday where two men approached. One of the men got into the cab and showed a handgun, while the other approached the window and also showed a handgun.

The two demanded the cab driver hand over money and other items. The driver complied and the two men got away with an undisclosed amount of money from the driver and fled the area in a silver car. The victim was uninjured in the robbery.
