Cedar Rapids police are investigating their third bank robbery in a week, but the latest had a different ending.

Officers received a report at around 11:04 a.m. Friday that the Hills Bank and Trust Company at 240 3rd Avenue SE was being robbed.

Officers arrived within two minutes and were immediately provided with a description of the suspect from citizens while several others pointed police officers in the direction the suspect had run.

After a short chase, 24-year-old Jacob Mack was arrested in the parking lot near Hall Bicycle Company at 419 2nd Avenue SE. Mack is charged with robbery in the second degree and interference with official acts.

No injuries were reported.

Cedar Rapids police are still looking for two other bank robbery suspects. One is accused of robbing the U.S. Bank at 2350 Edgewood Road SW on Monday morning. The second is accused of robbing the U.S. Bank in the 100 block of 16th Avenue SW on Wednesday afternoon.

Police have not said if any of the incidents are connected.
