University of Iowa wrestler facing charges

IOWA CITY (KWWL) -

    A University of Iowa wrestler is accused of taking a car that didn't belong to him.

    Police say that Ethan Owens was leaving a party in Iowa City at about 4:00 a.m. on April 19th, when he took keys to the SUV in the driveway and drove away.

    The owner of the vehicle says he was sleeping at the time and that he had never met Owens.

    Owens was booked Thursday morning in the Johnson County Jail.

    Owens is a junior at UI; he posted a record of 19-5 at 141 lbs during the 2013-14 season.
