Two injured in Black Hawk County crash

Posted: Updated:
BLACK HAWK COUNTY (KWWL) - Two people were hurt in a crash on Highway 218 near Janesville on Wednesday night.

Black Hawk County deputies were called to mile marker 192 on Highway 218 at around 9:39 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a one vehicle crash.

The sheriff's office says a pick-up truck driven by 64-year-old Gary Lee Kinkade, Sr. of Waterloo was headed south on Highway 218 when the vehicle went onto the shoulder. Deputies say Kinkade over-corrected and lost control, causing the truck to cross a lane of traffic, go into the median and roll at least twice.

Kinkade was taken to Allen Hospital with possible injuries. His passenger, 66-year-old Susan Kinkade, was ejected from the vehicle. She was taken to Allen Hospital with serious injuries.
