Flooding delays Dubuque campground opening

Posted: Updated:
DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

The Miller-Riverview Park and Campground in Dubuque is currently closed due to flooding. The campground was set to open in mid-April, but flood waters have prevented the campground from opening.

Camping reservations for Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, and other dates cannot be accepted until the park is open and managers are on site.

Officials with the Dubuque Leisure Services Department said crews are currently working to clean up the campground even though it is flooded. They said they hope to open the campground up to the public soon.
